Summary of Role

The Business Continuity Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and ongoing coordination of CROPP Cooperative?s Business Continuity Program. CROPP Cooperative?s Business Continuity Program shall address: emergency response, disaster recovery, business continuity, crisis management, and process flow charting. The Business Continuity Program Manager will also be responsible for leading and participating in any actual business continuity events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support business units, senior management and the board of directors with the application of best practices for business continuity.
Report to senior management and the board of directors on business continuity activities, potential risks and preparedness.
Develop and coordinate schedules for business continuity program deliverables.
Recommend, develop, document and maintain testing methodologies, processes and procedures for business continuity.
Lead risk assessment and identification, magnitude of impact and guidance for risk mitigation in alignment with business continuity best practices.
Conduct business impact scenarios and assist business units to determine critical business processes, identifies acceptable recovery time periods, and establishes resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
Lead and collaborate with the Business Continuity Advisory group to develop an integrated approach to develop, implement and manage a cooperative-wide business continuity program that meets management, audit, customer and vendor requirements.
Coordinate the efforts of staff members in the development of business continuity procedures for key areas of the cooperative.
Develop and coordinate training and awareness programs for staff.
Conduct exercises/tests of the Business Continuity Plan and follow-up on lessons learned.
Lead and participate in the implementation of the plan in the event of a disaster that requires activation.
Work with vendors of disaster recovery services and facilities; research and recommends outside services for use during a disaster situation.
Recommend, establish and maintain a notification tool/Automated Call Tree Notification Procedures for Incident and Crisis Management communication and reporting.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee budget for Business Continuity Program, including proposing budget needs and monitoring expenditures.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with outside contingency planning professional organizations and local/regional emergency response management groups.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
Three years of related work experience required.
Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation preferred.
Possesses detailed knowledge of business continuity framework, standards and best practices.
Project Management experience preferred.
Proven organizational and decision-making experience required.
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated experience leading and collaborating with people at all levels of an organization (staff to senior management).
Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, or similar computer packages.
Ability to travel and work off-hours and on-call as needed.
