We are currently recruiting for the position of Business Development Manager. Reporting to our Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving sales to all areas of the hotel. One of the best located Dublin hotels, this Dublin Hotel boasts 123 luxury bedrooms, a host of restaurants and bars, along with a regular entertainment line-up. This 4 star hotel is an ideal choice for conferences, events and weddings in Dublin. This role would suit a sales executive looking to progress their career in a corporate hotel with large conferencing facilities.
Objectives of Role
To be proactive in developing new and existing business opportunities and assist with increasing market share and achieving budget targets.
Required Experience/Skills
Minimum 1- 2 years experience in a similar role within the Hotel and Catering Industry or in a simliliar role with experience in either Hotel Field Sales, Reservations or Front Desk
- Excellent Presentation and Communication skills.
- The ability and desire to sell.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- A confident and determined approach.
- A high degree of self-motivation and drive.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
- Strong knowledge of Opera packages. (advantage but not necessary)
- Full clean drivers license and own car.
Principle Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
• Visiting potential customers for new business. (Target of 15 face to face meetings per week)
• Generate active sales leads and close sales deals.
• Research scope (desk based, cold calls) in generating new business opportunities.
